Rossford Local Schools partnered with Rudolph Libbe Inc. to realize a bold vision: a multi-purpose facility that inspires student engagement and serves as a source of pride for the community.

In 2022, Rudolph Libbe began construction on the 73,600-square-foot building, combining athletic and academic spaces in a single, innovative structure. The $17.5 million project features a STEM maker space, esports computer lab, wrestling room, golf simulator, batting cages, and a 203-foot clear span indoor field with a three-lane track, tennis courts, volleyball court, weights, and exercise machines.

A key challenge was integrating pre-engineered and conventional metal building systems, which Rudolph Libbe solved through custom design and collaboration. Advanced technology—including drones, BIM modeling, and clash detection—kept the project on track and minimized issues. Communication was prioritized with weekly updates, open jobsite access, and active social media engagement, generating significant community interest.

Safety was paramount, with strict protocols and the “Find It-Fix It” program, resulting in zero OSHA recordable incidents. The project was completed in 14 months, under budget, and with no disruption to school activities. “The R” now stands as a testament to Rudolph Libbe Inc.’s expertise and commitment, providing Rossford Schools and the community with a flexible, modern space for learning, athletics, and events.
