Food Processing

Building or renovating a food processing facility is a unique challenge, thanks to rapidly-changing regulations and market trends. These factors create the need for state-of-the-art food processing equipment and processes — and a construction partner with the expertise to help you keep food safe while staying efficient, profitable, and regulation compliant.
Take Campbell Soup Company, for example. Art Myers, Campbell’s program manager of engineering systems, referred to our “expert help” in the completion of a “very important and difficult project at the Napoleon, Ohio plant.”
“Production constraints allowed us only five weeks of shutdown from start to finish,” Myers said. “Given the magnitude of work and short timelines, I wasn’t certain the project could be accomplished, and cost implications over missing our start-up were concerning. A comforting factor was the performance of the Rudolph Libbe Group at our facility. Both GEM and Rudolph Libbe Inc. are very respected for having the talent and resources for demanding schedules. The ‘can do’ attitude of the project team further instilled our confidence. Despite late equipment deliveries by our vendors and several field changes, RLG was able to make the project deadline.”
Whether it’s a single project or an ongoing presence in the facility, RLG has a wide range of experience as a construction contractor for the food processing industry. For upgrades to existing process plant systems, we provide general and speciality trades contracting to modify existing facilities, build new layouts, and add space for new equipment.
Because all food processing construction projects are unique, our team approaches each one differently, collaborating with owners to create customized solutions.
