Do you Want to be part of something great?

…Then consider a co-op position with the Rudolph Libbe Group of companies.  Gaining real-life work experience is one of the toughest, but most crucial, aspects of being a college student. At RLG, we empower our co-ops to work on big jobs and with some of our most important customers.

Are you a smart, motivated undergraduate student in engineering, construction management, sales/marketing, information technology or human resources?  We annually employ between 25 and 30 new and returning students.  Consider applying for a co-op position to spend time working side-by-side with RLG professionals in your chosen field.

We employ co-ops at our Walbridge and northeast Ohio locations.

Over half of Rudolph Libbe Inc.’s project managers and estimators have been hired through the co-op program.  Since the inception of its co-op program in 2008, there have been 56 co-ops at GEM, Inc. offices. More than 20 of those co-ops work for us now as full-time associates.

To learn more about what you can expect from an RLG co-op experience, download the RLI, GEM Inc. or RLG (Northeast Ohio) program brochures for more details and contact information.

LEARN MORE ABOUT CO-OP POSITIONS

  • Working at GEM has broadened my potential and taught me many things I need to know to be successful in the field. As a team member, I’ve learned that there is always a way to accomplish something, even when it seems impossible. Everyone here is extremely dependable and understands the benefits of hard work and dedication.

    Shane Dings
Current Co-op, Virtual Design and Construction, GEM Inc. Walbridge, Bowling Green State University
  • This is the second co-op I’ve completed with GEM. I’ve always had a lot of interest in the construction industry, and this experience has opened the doors to tons of hands-on learning opportunities in the office and out in the field. One of the most valuable takeaways has been learning how to effectively communicate with my team and managers to get things done the right way.

    Michael Glaze
Current Co-op, Boilermaker Department, GEM Inc. Walbridge, Miami University
  • The most memorable part of my co-op experience was the hands-on learning experience I gained and the opportunity I had to learn from my coworkers in the field and in the office. As a co-op at Rudolph Libbe, I was exposed to a lot of scenarios and experiences that I am now able to pull from and apply to projects that I work on every day as a full-time project engineer.

    Paul Daniluk
Past Rudolph Libbe Inc. Co-op/Current Project Engineer, NE Ohio, The University of Akron
  • I began working for Rudolph Libbe Group as a co-op in the preconstruction department at Rudolph Libbe Inc. I assisted my supervisor in estimating jobs and preparing bids. As a co-op, I frequently worked with the virtual design and construction department (VDC) and drew foundation layouts and checked field drawings. I fell in love with the work and applied for a full-time position in the VDC department. The associates here have strong work ethics and a high value for the company culture. The positive work environment is a platform for better performance and greater satisfaction for associates and customers alike.

    Rajani Shrestha
Past Rudolph Libbe Inc. Co-op/Current VDC Associate, RLI Walbridge, The University of Toledo
  • I co-oped with Ruldoph Libbe Group’s Cleveland office for four years. During this time I created work authorizations and worked face-to-face with customers to discuss phases of the project we were working on. I was given the responsitibilty of scheduling field work, ordering material and tracking project progress. Now as a full-time associate, I can’t imagine working anywhere else. The growth of the company over the past few years is what makes me most proud to work here. You can tell RLG associates feel passion for the work we complete every day.

    Tim Levers
Past GEM Inc. Co-op/Current Project Engineer, NE Ohio, University of Akron
