I was a co-op in the preconstruction department at Rudolph Libbe Inc., and developed new skills that helped my professional career. I now work full-time in the Special Accounts (small projects) group, and I have the privilege to work with a knowledgeable team that cares about my professional growth.

I was amazed by the incredible culture and the people at Rudolph Libbe Inc. who provided me with excellent guidance during my co-op. While working in pre-construction, I was involved with some of the work in the Virtual Design & Construction department, and was offered a full-time position there after graduation.
Rajani ShresthaVDC Specialist I and former co-op, Rudolph Libbe Inc. -
My co-op experience at GEM has taught me so many skills necessary to be successful in both the construction field and my career. I was able to gain exposure in so many industries and be an integral part of the project management process from the office to the field. I would recommend GEM to any student who wants a career in construction with a direct, hands-on experience in several industries.
Maddie KryderCo-op Mechanical, GEM Inc. -
GEM is a good fit for me as a co-op because of the positive environment I was welcomed into starting my first day. Everyone was so helpful and patient with me. I learn new things every week all while learning how work is done on projects and jobsites. This includes bidding for major projects, doing takeoffs, as well as communicating with and visiting people in the field on a week-to-week basis.

I would strongly recommend a GEM co-op experience to all engineering students. They allow you to jump around and get hands-on experience throughout the company. I spent a co-op in the Virtual Design and Construction department learning the virtual design side, then a semester in our fabrication shop seeing the designs come to life. I visited and worked on a number of projects in the field, from a solar panel manufacturing facility to an industrial steel mill. You get a behind-the scenes look at how industrial plants operate and the roles engineers have in them.

Rudolph Libbe Inc. continues to be an incredible experience because I’ve been able
to learn from such a skilled and dedicated team. Through my time here as a co-op and now as a full-time employee, I have role models throughout the company who inspire me to be better.Brandon BoehmPreconstruction team and former co-op, Rudolph Libbe Inc.
