We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to help protect the organization’s computer systems and networks. This associate will plan and execute security measures to keep data safe from cyber-attacks, unauthorized access, and data breaches, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information. This position is a full-time in-office role at our Walbridge office.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Respond to alerts from systems, perform incident response activities, manage incident escalation and containment and develop post incident prevention strategies.
  •  Maintain and operate various security tools and software, including antivirus programs, SIEM systems, and vulnerability management tools.
  •  Manage Endpoint security suite of tools including asset management.
  •  Troubleshoot, report, and monitor errors within different software applications and take corrective action according to cyber security best practice
  •  Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, security assessments and other security testing techniques.
  •  Monitor email security including impersonation and DMARC, phishing reports and SPAM education.
  •  Promote a culture of security within the organization by educating staff on best practices and safe computing behaviors.
  •  Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  •  Evaluate new security products and technologies to strengthen the organization's defenses.
  •  Work closely with internal stakeholders and other members of the IT department to ensure a secure infrastructure.
  •  Create detailed reports on the organization's security status, incident analysis and recommendations.
  •  Keep up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, attack methods, and new technologies. 
 

SKILLS

  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  •  Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  •  Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking principles and protocols, and email protocols.
  •  Familiarity with network security concepts, including SIEM’s, firewalls, VPNs, IDS’s, AV, EDR, email security.
 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  •  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  •  Proven experience in Information Technology.
  •  Experience with SIEM’s, firewalls, VPNs, IDS’s, AV, EDR, email security is desirable.
  •  Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
